Offer coincides with special Valentines for Veterans concert featuring Little Anthony and the Imperials

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Help Hospitalized Veterans welcomed 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Little Anthony and the Imperials for a FREE Valentines for Veterans concert on Friday, February 13 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The annual Valentines for Veterans event the honors the men and women who have faithfully served our country and have made great sacrifices to preserve our individual and collective freedom.

In addition to the Valentines for Veterans concert, the Rock Hall offered free admission the week of February 9, 2009 to all veterans, enabling them to tour the Museum beginning Monday, February 9 through Friday, February 13 free of charge

WHY: The goals of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans, Valentines for Veterans Concerts are to:

• Show appreciation to America's veterans
• Increase community awareness of the local VA Medical Center
• Encourage citizens to visit hospitalized veterans and consider becoming VA volunteers
• Increase community awareness to the issues facing severely wounded soldiers/veterans and their families
• Show respect and appreciation to America's Gold Star families

About the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center

The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides both inpatient and outpatient health care services for veterans at two facilities located in Cleveland (Wade Park), Brecksville, Ohio, and 12 Community Based Outpatient Clinics throughout Northeast Ohio.

The Wade Park Campus is as a Level 1 VA Facility (the most complex) type of medical facility because of the range of available services. It is a teaching hospital providing a wide range of patient care as well as education & research center.

The Brecksville Campus includes extended care rehabilitation, general nursing home, center for psycho-geriatric care and a domiciliary for the homeless veterans. The campus also hosts a training facility of the VA's Employee Education System and National Training Center.

Community Based Outpatient Clinics are located in Akron, Calcutta, Canton, Cleveland (McCafferty), Lorain, Mansfield, New Philadelphia, Painesville, Ravenna, Sandusky, Warren, and Youngstown.

About the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is the nonprofit organization that exists to educate visitors, fans and scholars from around the world about the history and continuing significance of rock and roll music. It carries out this mission both through its operation of a world-class museum that collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets this art form and through its library and archives as well as its educational programs.

The Museum is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Wednesdays, the Museum is open until 9 p.m. Museum admission is $22 for adults, $17 for seniors (65+), $13 for youth (9-12), $18 for adult residents of Greater Cleveland. Children under 8 and Museum members are free. The Museum is generously funded by Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.
